POUHINE is a Mana Wāhine healing approach that returns the sound of a wahine to herself, through oro, karanga, waiata and/or silence.
In the context of research, it is a weaving of their eternal sound, their voices back into being, and the telling and hearing of sisters’ life stories.
This is a space in which I am able to do some of that.
